  1. Pumps: These are so important in pulling off a formal look and honestly a pair of good pumps will do you much good!
  2. Wedges: For the more comfortable alternative that will look amazing, feel amazing and increase your height. These are good for a range of occasions. Gotta love them.
  3. Boots: In the colder months, this is what you need. A good pair of boots. I can’t live without them.
  4. Flats: The best shoe choice for the comfortable minded. They can also look very cute with a range of outfits. Also one of my favorites.
  5. Printed Scarf: Because I tend to be rather plain (color and print wise) in my clothes, I like to have accessories that pop out, make it special. That’s exactly what a good scarf would do. Whether it be animal print or floral, polka dot or stripe, it will pull an outfit together so well.
  6. Thick Belt: I love my belts, especially with my body shape, they’re essential. The thick belts pull in a thiner and more feminine figure. It’s perfect for tying your layers together.
  7. Thin Belt: Another important piece (it’s obvious that I love my belts, trust me). A skinny belt adds texture and definition. And it can prevent the potato sack look (unattractive :S).
  8. Stud Earrings: This is the most basic jewellery piece that can honestly go with everything. Maybe have on hand a silver pair and a gold pair to better match with gold. Many shops like H&M will stock sets with multiple colors that you may want to check out. (Obviously, this mainly applies to those of us with piercings but clip ons are an option).
  9. Statement Jewellery Piece: Own one statement jewellery piece that is versatile. Be that some arm candy or a necklace or even a pair of earrings, a statement piece is sometimes necessary to make a simple outfit.
  10. Tote Bag: The best thing to rely on. It’s just so perfect because it’s so versatile and all purpose. Another one of those things that are just the best investment.

That is the end of this post 🙂 I hope you enjoyed! Tell me in the comments below what your accessory must haves are. I’d be really curious to know!

Thanks for reading and see you tomorrow.

  1. Little Black Dress: we all know about this one! Find a dress that can be worn casually, formally and to the office. This item is one of the most versatile pieces and don’t forget about it!
  2. Skirt: Any skirt that is knee-length (from lower thigh to top of knees) is a good thing to have as it is not only a good option in the hot weather but also make for a great layering piece into the colder months (put some tights on and boots and we’re set!)

  8. Blazer: The best way to look chic and pulled together is with a good blazer. Another item that will stick with your. You can wear it out, you can wear it on some errands to look fashionable, and you can wear it to school/work. It can go on top of jeans, slacks, a dress… Anything. A staple piece yet again.
  9. Cardigan: In early spring or autumn, the temperature is frequently chilly but not quite chilly enough for a leather jacket or heavy knitwear, will the cardigan is the perfect in between. Something that can be layered and used endlessly, cardigans are a perfect choice
  10. Shorts: You can never go wrong with a pair of shorts especially in the summertime. You can use shorts as interchangeably as your jeans in the hotter months.

Inspiration: Fashion Missions PART 1!!!

It’s Monday and you have an early morning class. Uh. As if you can be bothered to work up a glamorous outfit right? I mean Mondays are meant to be for getting over your weekend madnesses and the warm-up day before the read week of fashion begins.

So start with sometimes easy, student-like and chic:

Image

Read: comfortable navy scarf, any plain grey v-neck t-shirt, a nice deep red drape/waterfall cardigan, your favorite blue jeans, a pair of boots (if it’s chilly) and some nice uber simple accessories.

Phew! Monday went by without a single problem. Not one fashion disaster. But it’s time for the Tuesday. Tuesday’s time to have fun. You don’t know what cute man candy you could be running into today 😉 Give yourself two options, a day wear one that you can easily transform for the night.

The bright colors are perfect for a fresh daytime look: nice and feminine.
Read: a nice white blouse is always great in the daytime but also so versatile. the cute A-line skirt will make your waist seems smaller and your legs longer and thinner, the cute accessories are perfect for the more casual daytime feel. Wear some nice espadrilles or wedges for the daytime. If you’re going out in the evening, just pop on some nice tights, a pair of pumps and a black jacket (in this case, another cardigan).

Wednesday is said to be the worst day but don’t let this drag down your fashion! I’m thinking something totally in contrast to Tuesday. Monochrome! As much as it doesn’t get the YELLs that other trends do, you should definitely not underestimate the power of a monochrome outfit. It looks chic and pulled together effortlessly.

Read: The most comfortable pants you own, an extremely cool printed top, a nice pump AND an amazing blazer. Pair this outfit with the perfect bag and you’re set. What more do I need to say?

So that is all for my FASHION MISSION Part 1. Tune in tomorrow for Part 2 where I’ll be finishing the mission with some amazing party and date outfits. Make sure you don’t miss it by following ParisienLight.

Tell me in the comments below which one is your favorite outfit.

Thank you so so much for reading. I hope you liked this post. See you tomorrow.

Oh Dear Life!

Hey guys. I thought I’ll post a more “personal” post so y’all can get to know me somewhat and I love doing these types of posts. I’ve got some really great fashion posts lined up for you guys and IF you have any suggestions or whatever, PLEASE put them down below in the comments section.

Image

Dear puppies,
Why can I not just have every single one of you? Why are you so cute? Those eyes and that playful attitude can get me any day. A game of fetch maybe?

Dear dinner parties,
Stop being so difficult to plan. Just organise yourself. The games, the food and the beverages… So. Much. Effort.

Dear smoothies,
Oh do I wish I could have you all the time. If I could, I definitely would. But why must it be going into winter right now ? Why must it get cold? Why must you separate me from my beloved.

Dear weather,
Please make up your mind. One simply just not make up one’s mind! (Meme reference) I’m glad that you’re no longer raining (knock on wood) but why must you be sometimes hot and sometimes just so cold. I don’t want to be sick!

Dear immune system,
I like you right now. This lovely vacation you are taking makes me happy (and not feel sick all the time).

Dear school,
Urgh. I’m over you already. Just leave me alone! I broke up with you remember so stop dishing out punishment.

Dear society,
Oh please stop pressuring girls into feeling that they need to be in relationships at such a young age. It’s certainly not necessary.

Dear girls,
Have respect for yourselves and find worth in yourself. Hell do I know how hard that is, but I believe in you. You are the only you can always rely on to love yourself.

Dear love,
I guess, damn you. I realised today that if true love was easy, we’d all have it.

Dear friend(s),
Thanks for being something that will always be there for us. And seriously, stop poking me. It’s not nice and next time, I will punch you. Okay probably not. But I will be annoyed. 😛

Dear clothes/fashion,
Why is every item so amazing? Why do I lust after every item? Why is every item so expensive? I feel sad about wanting everything but never getting anything. Birthday present?

Dear old man,
Hi. I know you would like me to call you back regarding the fittings for your windows (or something). And if I were a window (or something) fitter, I would. But please stop calling me. I’m sure you’re a lovely old man who is not creepy and is in need of a window (or something) fitting but you’re making me growingly sad because I can’t help you. Oh. And my name is most certainly not Margaret (even though that is a lovely name).

Dear friend,
Please pay back that $5 that you borrowed last term that I am requesting you to return. It’s only $5, but it’s the principle of the matter.

Dear readers of this blog,
Thank you so much for your support and you’re all lovely.

Tell me in the comments what your “Oh Dear Life” things are. 🙂

Thanks again and see you all tomorrow.
